Bore’s new buildings will be time chartered by Mann Lines
Bore and Mann Lines have signed an agreement – the two new buildings will be time chartered for a period of 5 + 5 years starting 2011.
The two new building from Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft mbH & Co KG in Germany, being part of the active fleet renewal program at Bore, has now been chartered to Mann Lines Ltd, who already commission MV Estraden since 1999 and MV Borden since beginning of 2008. The two RoRo vessels will be delivered in May and August 2011 respectively and will have an initial capacity of 2900 lane meters each. The vessels can have both double-stacked containers on mafis on all decks and be equipped with hoistable car decks. The overall length of each vessel is 195 meters and the breadth is 26 meters, the design draft is 7.05 meters and the design deadweight is abt 13.025 tons. Senior Executive Vice President Thomas Franck from Bore says; “Mann Lines represents for us a long-term customer relationship and we are pleased that this cooperation will continue long into the future. At Bore, we are ready to take steps towards intensified customer service – with these new RoFlex vessels we believe the requirements of Mann Lines will be met”. Mann Lines Chairman Allan Binks comments: “the design of the Bore Roflex vessels will provide us with the flexibility to carry a wide range and mix of cargoes and with lower bunker consumption.”
