Jarkko Kaplin appointed Chief Executive Officer of Nordkalk
Nordkalk’s Board of Directors has appointed Jarkko Kaplin (47), M.Sc. (Chem. Eng.), as Chief Executive Officer of Nordkalk as of 1.1.2015 reporting to Hans Sohlström, President and CEO of Rettig Group.
Jarkko Kaplin has been Vice President PulpPaper & Finland at Nordkalk since 2012. As new Chief Executive Officer of Nordkalk he will continue to be in charge of that division until further notice. Jarkko will also be member of Rettig Group’s management team.
Jarkko succeeds Bertel Karlstedt, Nordkalk’s Chief Executive Officer since 2006, who has been appointed President of the Pulp and Energy business line of Finnish Valmet Corporation as of 1.2.2015.

Before Nordkalk, Jarkko Kaplin worked for Metsä Group (2002-2012) where he held various executive positions within Operations, Energy and Sourcing.
