Matti Kuivalainen and Timo Vättö elected new members of Rettig Group’s Board of Directors

The Annual General Meeting of Rettig Group has re-elected Cyril von Rettig (b. 1954), Bjarne Mitts (b. 1949), Tom von Rettig (b. 1955), Tomas von Rettig (b. 1980) and Maria Savola (b. 1978) as members of Rettig Group’s Board of Directors.

Matti Kuivalainen (b. 1965, Finnish citizen) and Timo Vättö (b. 1964, Finnish citizen) have been elected new members of the Board of Rettig Group. Matti Kuivalainen has also been appointed member of the Board of Directors of Rettig ICC b.v. Martin Granholm, Hans Sohlström and Christoffer Taxell were no longer available for re-election.

Matti Kuivalainen, eMBA and B.Sc (Eng.), has over 25 years of management experience, 12 of which were in executive positions with United Technologies and Honeywell, managing several industrial businesses with over billion dollar revenues. He also has small company experience as a CEO, Board of Director, and private investor. Most recently he was President of Otis, North, East and Central Europe, and Africa for United Technologies. Matti brings a wealth of insight from the European construction industry.

Timo Vättö, M.Sc. (Econ.), is founder and owner of Cundo Management AG in Switzerland. Before setting up his own business, Timo worked for nearly twenty years for Citigroup in Switzerland and the U.S. His final role at Citigroup was Head of Swiss Investment Banking. Before that he work in several senior roles within Citigroup’s corporate and investment banking. Timo brings extensive experience of the international financial services industry as well as governance experience from public and private company boards.

Both Matti Kuivalainen and Timo Vättö are considered independent of the company and the shareholders.
