Rettig Group has completed the divestment of Nordkalk and becomes a significant  shareholder in SigmaRoc Plc

Rettig Group has today completed the divestment of Nordkalk to SigmaRoc Plc for an enterprise value of EUR 500 million, as announced on 15 July 2021. As part of the transaction Rettig Group has reinvested EUR 50 million in SigmaRoc Plc resulting in an ownership share of approximately 8 per cent in the company.

SigmaRoc Plc is a UK-based construction materials group listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange. The company invests, improves and integrates companies within the construction materials space in Europe. Currently operating five platforms in the UK, Wales, Belgium and the Channel Islands, Nordkalk forms the sixth platform in Northern Europe. SigmaRoc supplies a wide range of materials ranging from cement and asphalt to precast concrete products. In addition, the sixth platform will open a range of opportunities to incorporate limestone products to this offering.
